GUILTY: In a
surprise pleading, Joran van der Sloot pled guilty to murdering Stephany Flores
in Peru in 2010.
Flores was the daughter of a wealthy and influential
Peruvian businessman. She was found
strangled in van der Sloot’s hotel room.
According to reports, Van der Sloot and Flores at a casino in Lima,
Peru.
Van der Sloot was arrested 3 days after Flores’ body was
discovered. There were reports that Van der Sloot had immediately confessed to
the murder, indicating that he had to kill Flores because she found proof
linking him to the death of Natalie Holloway on his computer.
Although he had admitted to this killing, Van der Sloot has
not admitted to do doing any harm to Holloway.
He maintains the last time he saw her was on a beach and she was drunk.
Editor’s Note: I have
to wonder how Natalee’s parents are feeling about this….
ON TO SC: After Mitt
Romney’s decisive win in New Hampshire, the GOP candidates are now eyeing South
Carolina.
In his victory speech in New Hampshire, Romney was quick to
point out that he was not yet the Republican nominee for President of the
United States. “Tonight we
celebrate. Tomorrow we go back to work.”
The other candidates downplayed the importance of New Hampshire,
but have acknowledged that South Carolina hold greats importance. Many of the candidates are taking the stance
of ‘eyes on the prize’, and the prize is South Carolina.
Editor’s Note: Have I
mentioned how excited I am that it’s politics season…..riiiiigggghhhhtttt!
